This pair of elegant, ornate, bronze, French wall light sconces will add a touch of "Rococo/Baroque" style to any period home.
In excellent vintage condition, they have some signs of natural tarnishing and their patina is darker in some areas than others, giving them the look and feel of stylish early 19th century "French Empire" interiors. The rich, glossy "coppery" gold is sumptuously ornate. Each sconce has two fixed arms with sockets for candle-shaped, screw fitting bulbs. Each branch terminates in a decorated bronze drip tray, of Acanthus leaves, with the original imitation "dripping" candle covers that slide on and off of the stems easily. The candle drips are cardboard, in good condition "gently scuffed" at the tops and slightly discoloured, for an authentic look and feel.
These lights are wired with the original vintage wiring. They are both in full working order.

The lights fix securely to the wall, through a hole in the back plate.
The back plate measures 21cms/ 8¼" long, from top to bottom. They are 21cms/ 8¼" wide (span across both arms.) They are 9cms / 3½" deep and each weighs 500gms/ 1.1 lbs!
