This is an extra long, Limoges porcelain fish platter measuring 57.5cms/ 22 ½" long x 23cms/ 9" wide. It is deep too, 5-6cms/ 2", so that the fish can be served with sauces and dressings, without risk of spillage.
It is enormous, weighing 1.9 kgs/ 4.2 lbs!
It is in amazing condition, with no chips, cracks or scratches.
It has the "Guys Porcelaine, Limoges, France" mark on the undersides.
Clean and fresh, stylishly understated for elegant dining.

It has the most detailed illustration of two Trout swimming. The colours are muted, subtle greens and grey/blues. The fish are accurately represented, with spots and "hints" of pink and yellow on the undersides. The fins and tails of the fish have been "picked out" in fine detail. An Iris sits to the side of the platter, the mauve of the background hills in the landscape complementing the purple of its petals. Most impressive is the way the water has been "brushed" across the fish to give the impression of its movement through the river.

It is ideal for large catering events such as weddings, banquets and big family gatherings. It looks so impressively stunning it will be a real 'talking point'.

What a perfect presentation plate for the one that didn't get away!.....................

.................Bonne Appétit!.........
